Initially, Human Code and Gotek contacted DigitalWand to develop a landing page. However, upon completion of the work, we can confidently say that we have developed a site that tells about Gotek's unique approach throughout the packaging development chain, contains several pages, animation and the ability to view the packaging being developed (thanks to implementation of 3D models).
At the first stage, preparations were intensively launched to determine the concept of a new website design, according to the existing brand book: together with the customer, we selected sites whose visual part the client liked. Among the special wishes were:
- take into account the conservatism of the industry and the customer;
- make a visual emphasis on the texts and descriptions of packages;
- observe colors and styles in accordance with the company's brand book
The most difficult stage on the project is layout.
We had to add 3D objects to the site, but in such a way that the loading of the site did not suffer. An additional difficulty was that the client had a limited budget and time, so we had to invent ourselves to find the best way for him.
At first, we offered the option of gluing photos with a special plug-in, but this method did not work. Professional photos were required in large quantities, which means that the customer had to hire a photographer to produce packages to take all the necessary shots, which would take too much time
We turned to plan B: use a service that integrates 3D on the site. However, the paid service did not suit the customer, as the budget was already limited. Therefore, we switched to heavy artillery: the 3D models were added by the layout designer as gltf files straight to the site.
However, at the next stage, a problem arose that surpassed the previous one in scale. When the layout was completed, the customer set a new task - to add animation to the entire site.
The difficulty is that the animation was not originally intended by the design, and we no longer had enough time or resources to redo everything from scratch. Nevertheless, our layout designer was able to add animation to the entire site without layouts in a short time, which saved the situation.
Integration with CMS Bitrix. At the programming stage, the developer added the ability to administer the site through the Bitrix CMS admin panel. We set up the feedback forms in such a way that the customer could independently analyze the operation of the site and know exactly which form the application came from.
Initially, our developers added the ability to administer the site, thanks to which the customer can change almost all information without contacting technical specialists. Maximum convenience!
The site is adapted to different screen resolutions, so that information is displayed correctly on different devices.
We have made a user-friendly interface: every detail of the site is useful. For example, if we look at the five stages of the packaging life, we will see additional blocks under each of the stages with the services that you will be provided at each of them. There is no need to open any additional links - all the necessary information is located in one place.
